565 Hay Street was the first building revitalised as part of the Cathedral Square precinct in the Perth CBD.
The building is a nod to its historical neighbours, the Perth Town Hall, St George’s Cathedral and Burt Memorial Hall, with its terracotta facade echoing the colour and detail of the masonry in adjoining heritage buildings.
The redeveloped and refurbished former Public Trustee building is 11 stories of Grade A commercial office space with retail space on the ground floor. The building was designed in accordance with the Green Building Council of Australia ‘Green Star’ Office Version 3 to achieve a minimum 4 Star Green Star Rating and a minimum 4.5 Star NABERS Rating.
The development of 565 Hay was pivotal in providing space for the new City of Perth Library, whose modern design, open areas and green wall provide spaces to learn, reflect or relax.
Just metres from the Hay Street Mall and home to the State Administrative Tribunal, the building also includes car parking and end of trip bicycle facilities.
